1. Who runs this site

Daijoubu Home is a rental housing service in Japan for foreign residents. For anything about your personal data, write to fudosantyo@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Only what you send us. Browsing without submitting anything collects nothing.

• When you APPLY FOR A PROPERTY: full name (including katakana reading), date of birth, gender, nationality, current address, phone number, email, Facebook account, and your intended move-in date.
• In the same step: PHOTOS OF YOUR RESIDENCE CARD (both sides) and of your BANK CARD, plus the details read from them — residence status, card number, issue date, expiry.
• When you BOOK A VIEWING: name, phone number, appointment time.
• When you SUBMIT DOCUMENTS through a private link we send you: the documents and form details you provide.
• When you simply BROWSE: anonymous statistics via Google Analytics (pages viewed, device, approximate region). Not linked to your name.

3. What we use it for

• Finding properties that match what you asked for, and quoting the costs.
• Submitting your application to the management company or landlord you chose.
• Getting back to you about the specific property you asked about.
• We do NOT sell your data to anyone, and we do NOT use it to advertise on behalf of third parties.

4. Who can see your data

Only those who genuinely need it to finish what you asked for:

• Daijoubu Home staff handling your application.
• The management company or landlord of the property you applied for — they are the party that reviews the application.
• Google (Gemini service): your document photos are sent there for AUTOMATIC TEXT READING, so the application form is filled quickly and without typos. Google returns the result to us; we do not permit your images to be used for anything else.
• Supabase (where data is stored) and Vercel (where the site runs) — our two infrastructure providers.

5. How long we keep it

We delete your personal data and document photos within 3 MONTHS of you sending them, or sooner if you ask.

If you signed a tenancy through us, some documents may need to be kept longer under Japanese law on retaining transaction records.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to show, correct or DELETE your data at any time. No reason needed.

Write to fudosantyo@gmail.com with the name and phone number you used when applying, so we can find the right record. We handle requests within 7 working days.

7. Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which sections are useful. You may block cookies in your browser — the site still works normally.

8. Changes to this policy

Any change is published on this page and the date at the top is updated.
